Lakho Konthe Shonar Bangla History in the making
Bangladesh is ready to set yet another world record and add its name to
the Guinness Book of World Records after making the biggest flag. This
time we're trying to make record by singing the most beautiful national
anthem ever created.
Currently more than 3 lakh people are present at the parade ground. Sheikh Hasina arrived at the venue around 11 am. Now the documentary on the Guinness Records rules are being showed.
The digital counter on the stage showed 265,795 people had already gathered at the grounds by 10.30am.
While people are waiting our celebrated stars are singing songs to entertain them. The participants are given food and drink to beat the heat. There is also blocks where these people can rest.
More than three lakh people are expected to chorus Amar Sonar Bangla, Ami Tomay Bhalobashi at these grounds at 11am. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to witness the feat.
Our Premier payed homage to our history. She also expressed gratitude to the people who are going to sing the anthem.
The current record for national anthem is held by Sahara India Pariwar (India) with performance of the chorus at attendance of 121,653 on May 6, 2013.
Thousands of people thronged at the national parade square after the gates of the grounds were opened at 6am.
State-run Bangladesh Television is telecasting the programme live.
The Ministry of Cultural Affairs is organising the event in coordination with Bangladesh Army.
